Cadence Weapon
Deemed by Dazed and Confused as "hip hop's saviour", Cadence Weapon continues to firmly establish his legacy as a sonic pioneer while constantly pushing the rap and electronic music envelope. Following his critically acclaimed, Polaris Music Prize nominated albums Breaking Kayfabe and Afterparty Babies and a two year term as Edmonton's Poet Laureate, he returns with Hope In Dirt City out now on Upper Class Recordings. Hope In Dirt City is a clearly defined and emotionally mature statement of intent that represents the culmination of these experiences. Composed of a unique hybrid of psychedelic soul, old school rap, IDM and mutant disco; Hope In Dirt City is a groundbreaking achievement in hip hop, and Cadence Weapons' third Polaris Music Prize nominated album.

Following festival appearances at M for Montreal, SXSW, CMW, Primavera Sound and the release of Hope In Dirt City in May, Cadence Weapon toured the UK & North America with punk darlings "Japandroids" for 29 sold out nights, Cadence Weapon joined New York experimental noisemakers "Liars" for 12 dates in North America stunning fans with his unique brand of intelligent, high-energy rap. "Cadence Weapon put two hours worth of energy into a 45 minute set, and by the end of it, he had arrested everyone's attention and response to his music - the sign of a true rising emcee" - KEXP Radio

The Dirty Ghosts are pale and unwashed, yet they are fresh. Though based on solid ideas, the band is always attempting to get new with their style!!!!

Allyson handles electric guitar while Carson handles electric bass and Aesop handles the beat machines and this suits all of them just fine. person funk, with beats supplied by husband Aesop Rock and bass provided by gross jewellery enthusiast Carson Binks." --Heeb Magazine

Twenty year old Mexican/Nicaraguan rapper NATE is straight out of San Francisco, and in his new video for "Them Days," he flexes his double-time skills and raps about the trials of life in the Bay Area with the assistance of his boy Fego and producer Kid Rated R.

NATE spits on the second verse, "So what does that mean for me, just another kid who dropped out of J.C./Like Kanye West from the West who never got blessed with the opportunity to meet a No I.D." And on the chorus, he sums it all up, rapping, "Another one of them days, Killer/Where nothing turns out your way, go figure."
