White Mystery
White Mystery
White Mystery rocks a Top Ten Album, ELLE Magazine Brazil feature, Daytrotter session, POWERGLOVE music video, and Sound Opinions episode distributed by American Public Media.
Miss Alex White and Francis White are two siblings born and raised in the city of Chicago that play original, garage punk shows around the world.
Chicago Tribune music editor and Sound Opinions host Greg Kot writes,
"The real attraction is White Mystery, the new duo forged by Miss Alex White, best known as the guitar-wielding blowtorch in her long-running gig with [Miss Alex White and] the Red Orchestra. With drummer Francis White, she reduces her love of soul-fired garage rock to its butt-kicking essence."

One of our very favorites bands of the last five years, Oakland's Bare Wires, broke up this year after a tumultuous SXSW and a subsequently cancelled US tour, as reported by SF Weekly . Though Bare Wires still have one more album en route for release later this summer dubbed Idle Dreams—a follow up to last year's sublime 10", Cheap Perfume —frontman and all-around glam-fueled power-pop mastermind Matthew Melton has already focused his talents and energy towards two exciting new projects: his own East Oakland-based studio and label, Fuzz City , and a new band, Warm Soda—both of which are well under way. Fuzz City—which Melton runs along with his new bandmates Rob Good and Sam Lefebvre—has three 7"s under its belt by Bay area talents Adam Widener, Burnt Ones, and Dirty Cupcakes. Warm Soda isn't far behind either with its own forthcoming single due out shortly via Southpaw. The first gulp of Warm Soda's rock 'n' roll formula is the syrupy, garage-cooked pop of "Reaction." Bare Wires may be over, but "Reaction" retains much of the band's signature moves: muted guitars, snappy solos, glam-smacked drumming, and Melton's sweet gravely hush of a vocal delivery. Bare Wires or not, if Melton continues to produce music this consistently compelling, this fan's appetite will be more than sated.

Burnt Ones
Burnt Ones
"No one can ever replace the legend that was Marc Bolan, but this 'Metal Guru'-sounding number from the self-described "electric sleaze/bubblegum psych" trio comes pretty close. It will certainly make you want to listen to T. Rex all night long." --NME

"Newly transplanted from Indianapolis, the three-piece will release their debut album Black Teeth & Golden Tongues ... on My Old Kentucky Blog's recently sprouted label, Roaring Colonel Records. Burnt Ones' fuzzed out garage anthems not only sound like the band's aforementioned contemporaries Thee Oh Sees and Ty Segall, but their album art is also done by William Keihn, who did the covers of Help and the Ty Segall/Mikal Cronin Reverse Shark Attack LP." --Bay Bridged

Killer glam-punk rock n roll outta Oakland from members of Apache, The Cuts, Personal and the Pizzas, The Impediments and more!!!
Cumstain AS "SLEEZER"
Cumstain AS "SLEEZER"
Things couldn't get any sleezier than a group with a mustached
man named Sean Starling. Mr Cumstain has toured America's
slummiest ghetto's playing rock and roll music and has avoided
getting scabies, rabbies, and having babbies. This year he'll be
doing a Weezer set appropriately called "Sleezer"

Sonic Angels
Sonic Angels
SONIC ANGELS started out in 2005 with the intention of keeping up the tradition of captivating, melodically inspired and wild punk rock garage bands of the 60s, 70s and 80s.

The Sonic Angels are driven by the non stop action duo : MarcAngel and SylviAngel. After two years spent inside the Spanish rock scene, they created the Subsonic in Montpellier in 2001, a hyperactive place, with an untamed spirit. At the same time, they set up Speed Records studio and record label.

Their first demo was immortalized on a split record with Kevin K, offering two tracks with finely chiseled tunes recorded at the Subsonic. In April 2005 Melody took over on drums and a live maxi 45rpm with 9 tracks ”Wild City Rock’n’roll” was recorded in June.

In December 2006, the Sonic Angels recorded their first album “Times Are Changing” in Madrid under the direction of Norah Findlay (Pleasure Fuckers, Sin City Six...) at the Rock Palace studio.

In August 2007, Sonic Angels returned to the Subsonic studio for what became their second album “Learn, Love, Care and Celebrate”. This record was recorded in order to bring 12 original Sonic Angels tracks and twelve covers of their favorite bands.

2010 brought them on tour to Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands and France to Spain and Portugal. Their third album have came out in march 2011, with Animal Dragon on drums. With this new recording, Sonic Angels are closer than ever to the roots of rock'n'roll and garage punk energy, mixing psychedelic influences, always in their typical unclassifiable style.

2012 will bring them to Germany, Spain, England, Greece and for the first time to the Usa.
“Don't Mess with the Angels”, the new album just for vynil addicts recorded at the Subsonic Studio, is a show piece of 10 garage punkrock original songs.

They are at present recording with Stephane Doucerain (Kalypso Katz,Ex Nikki Sudden, Nitro 17 ) a bunch of new songs...

On stage with over 300 gigs in under five years in Europe and in Central America, the Sonic Angels have brought their set to become an extremely powerful and at the same time physical machine which reflects the energy of bands for whom rock'n'roll is a way of life, of thinking and of breathing !!!
