Brass Mafia
Brass Mafia
San Francisco's Jazz Mafia has been taking over the Bay Area since it's inception 10 years ago. Bands like the Jazz Mafia Symphony, Realistic Orchestra, the Shotgun Wedding Quintet and many more have been putting San Francisco back on the map as one of the most important music scenes in the country. Based on the tried-and-true new Orleans brass ensemble, the Brass Mafia includes Trombone, Trumpet, Saxes, drums and most importantly TUBA!

This unique lineup has proven to be highly versatile because it allows the band to perform acoustic and to be mobile and march, which is something that very few bands can do these days. Although the instrumentation of this Brass Band is based on a 100 year old tradition, the sound is based on music from many different decades and many continents. The Brass Mafia puts a strong emphasis on heavy backbeats, creative improvisation and a unique mix of songs and arrangements. The Brass Mafia has proven that they can be a powerful and entertaining Marching Band as well as one of the best "Club" bands. The band includes some of the most talented young jazz players form the SF Bay Area who have an impressive resume of talent they have performed with: Spearhead, Lyrics Born, Lavay Smith, Bobby McFerrin, Carlos Santana, Idris Muhammed, Dr. Lonnie Smith, Los Angelitos, Jesus Diaz QBA, Marcus Shelby Orchestra, Zion I as well as being the backbone of the Jazz Mafia Symphony, Realistic Orchestra, The Shotgun Wedding Quintet and Jazz Mafia Trio.
Stanford Marching Band
Stanford Marching Band
As a part of Stanford, we rouse the spirit of everyone associated with our great university. Sometimes we're an athletic pep band. Sometimes we're the side show at a University ceremony. Sometimes we just show up in a classroom or fountain. Regardless of where or when, we remind our peers and colleagues that Stanford is, on any given day, pretty much the best place on earth.
Jordan & The Ritual
Jordan & The Ritual
Groovy, soul, funk, sweet, soothing music to touch you deep down in your roots... and a darn good keyboard player.
