Bambu
Bambu
Bambu is a father, MC and community organizer. Raised in the Watts district of Los Angeles, as a young boy he experienced a life that other rappers have glorified, but rarely experienced. As he navigated through a turbulent youth, Bambu turned around the destructive energy that surrounded him and poured it into making music. Bambu has been lauded by his fans and contemporaries for his lyrical storytelling abilities. Whether fictional or autobiographical, his vividly-detailed narratives are characterized by an honesty that is equal parts brutal, thought-provoking and liberating. Bambu music is not for mere performance – he utilizes his music as a tool for a larger goal – to reach and support youth who face similar issues that he did, and move them to question what goes on in the world. Bambu has reached audiences across the country and internationally with his explosive and engaging live performance, and has shared the stage with such acts as Common, X-Clan, Medusa, Dilated Peoples, Psycho Realm, Planet Asia, Zion-I, the Blue Scholars, Immortal Technique, the Visionaries, Pac Div and more.
Power Struggle
Power Struggle
From his immigrant upbringing to his nomadic lifestyle, Power Struggle’s front man Nomi evokes the sound of the weary traveler finding home over the horizon. From a hip-hop perspective, Nomi’s poignant lyrics and political analysis are unique in a culture/ genre that’s been highjacked by gunclappers, pimps, and businessmen.
With a strong belief in Social Justice, Nomi is committed to worker’s rights advocacy, working as a community organizer at the Filipino Community Center in the Excelsior District of San Francisco. Nomi’s most recent work, Remittances, reflects the life and times of working class people trying to survive in a system that they do not control.
Rey Resurreccion
Rey Resurreccion
California recording artist / producer Rey Resurreccion comes with a smooth laid back style over a combination of hard drums, original compositions, nostalgic samples, and heavy synths. Rey Res has been on the move lately, making a lot of noise in the States and beyond. While simultaneously strengthening his internet buzz, Rey Resurreccion has recently toured with the Hieroglyphics crew on the Hiero Imperium 2012 Summer tour, and Los Angeles recording artist Bambu on the Rent Money Tour, Fall 2012. Rey has also independently released projects in conjunction with The Bangerz (JBWKZ Records), Nima Fadavi, Cukui Clothing, Breezy Excursion Clothing & Clout Graffiti Magazine.

6Fingers
6Fingers
Known for contributing creativity, originality, and good old fashioned independent hustle to the Hip Hop world – Vallejo, California (The Bay Area) yields another rising star through this musical producer called 6Fingers. Avoiding the label of one particular sound or style, he can merge today’s music with his own unique twists and produces unlike any other. 6Fingers specializes in Hip Hop music, though he can apply his talents across the rainbow of genres heard today. “6Fingers beats can’t be described. There’s nothing out there quite like it. You have to experience it! But afterwards, you’ll know when you’re hearing a 6fingers beat.” Topkat.” His sound continues to build and evolve out of his pure love affair of music. He works relentlessly in his personal studio called The Guts, where he concocts his masterpieces, favoring his weapons of choice, which are an Akai MPC 2000XL,Open Labs Neko, hella vinyl, and a turntable.
