Jasmine Nichol
Born in Hayward, CA and raised in the Bay Area, Jasmine Nichol captured her musical roots from various communities. As a toddler, listening to music from her older sister and mother, who would bump soulful melodies around the house, led to her submersion into pop culture. Influences such as Tupac, Biggie, Aretha Franklin, Digital Underground, Keith Sweat, Chaka Khan and Rufus, Will Downey, Jackson 5, Al Green, Stevie Wonder, Jimmy Smith, Miles Davis and so many other musical talents, sparked her creative interest in songwriting, which later embellished her passion for singing to help express the words she wrote on paper.

Musical artistry runs through Ms. Nichol’s veins, her grandfather was a writer and her aunt, an amazing songstress. Even her mother formed a singing group entitled, Shades of Love in the mid 70’s. All these old school influences have given Jasmine Nichol a distinctive platform and savory genre she has morphed together to call her own.

During the course of her musical journey Jasmine has auditioned for The Voice, American Idol and the X Factor. She launched her first project, Ain’t Nothin’ Like Ya First Time, in the summer of 2012, then followed with her second critically praised mixtape #NoE this past April. Ms. Nichol has been privileged to get a taste of what the industry brings, which is the continuous love and support from her magnificent fans and loved ones. With all of her hard work, determination and passion, Jasmine Nichol is destined to make an extensive impact in the music industry!
Something that Ms. Nichol would love for her fans to know is that, “You can do anything that you want to do, you just have to stay dedicated. Thank you for believing in me and supporting me while I make my dreams come true. And don’t forget, ‘Hippies do it betta!’
