Founding DJ behind Rebel Joy, one of San Francisco’s longest-running 90s dance parties. Outside of DJing, Samala is the founder and executive director of Creative Music Studio (CMS), a San Francisco–based nonprofit focused on music education, artist development, and community programs. Through CMS, she creates access to music training, creative resources, and paid opportunities for emerging and underrepresented artists, with a strong focus on youth and BIPOC creatives. Her work bridges nightlife, education, and community infrastructure, building sustainable pathways for artists while reinvesting directly back into the culture.
