While Indigo Elephant began as a one-off performance for a 2018 talent show, it quickly turned into a long-lasting ensemble for thoughtful, genre-crossing indie tunes. The Oakland-based band has since grown into a dynamic act, defined by their emotional clarity and melodic instincts. Whether playing to intimate rooms or large festivals, Indigo Elephant blends the raw honesty of indie rock with the smooth textures of indie pop, drawing comparisons to acts like Wallows, Men I Trust, Last Dinosaurs, and The 1975.

Their upcoming single, “Rat Race” drops August 15th. The track explores the pressures of living paycheck to paycheck, and how easy it is to lose what you’ve worked so hard for. Prior to that, Indigo Elephant released their standout 2023 EP “While We Were Away”, a nostalgic and emotionally textured project that marked a turning point in the band’s sound.
