Tansy

The first word that comes to mind when listening to Tansy is “lush”. Surrounded by fields of rich string and horn arrangements, soaring vocal harmonies, and a soulful back beat, it’s a sound that hooks listeners from the beginning.

At its core, the music evokes the quiet peace of a spring afternoon in the garden, and has been described by critics "lullabies for adults" with 'flowing melodies and rich harmonies."

Tansy is the brainchild of pianist Will Feinberg and vocalist McKenna Alicia. They met by chance in New Orleans in 2017 when Will was called last minute to sub for a small duo gig of McKenna’s. The musical connection was immediate and the pair spent the next two years writing and refining their sound. Since releasing their debut album Full Bloom in 2020, Tansy has been busy releasing a string of singles and touring throughout California, where they now reside.
