The Last Gray Wolf

artist-img

The Last Gray Wolf makes music for people who’ve slept in their cars and called it a road trip. Songs written by Conor Gleeson, a man who believes tape machines are more honest than people. Everything’s tracked to 2” tape because digital is for cowards and clean hands.
Jason A Roberts (Spoon, Bedouine) appeared like a transmission from another realm and never left. They’ve been locked on the same strange frequency ever since. Jason plays guitar, produces, and recruits the other explorers inside of the studio.

The live band is a rotating cast of ringers from Spoon, Fruit Bats, Skyway Man, Goodnight Texas, and other SF and LA acts. Sometimes they rehearse. Sometimes they don’t. Either way, it works.

The songs? Think Elliott Smith with a lawnmower, Beck if he never made it out of the basement, or Neil Young if he still smoked weed.
