Jay Worthy

Jay Worthy moved to Compton in his late teens, influenced by Ice Cube and many of that West Coast pioneer's contemporaries. Regardless of his beatmaking collaborators, the rapper tends to favor slow to mid tempo productions that pull from the mellow end of late-'70s and early-'80s R&B, suiting his relaxed approach to relating street tales. He didn't take the art form seriously until after he hooked up with producer Sean House as LNDN DRUGS, who in 2015 issued an EP with additional input from A$AP Yams and Chuck Inglish. The following year, Worthy produced Bompton, a six-part documentary on Compton, for the Vice channel.

Worthy has collaborated with producers such as Alchemist and Cardo as well as MCs such as G Perico, frequent collaborator Larry June and also recently released "Umbrella Symphony," a 7 track EP with Curren$y. Worthy's consistency and work ethic recently brought him to the attention of Griselda Records CEO and curator Westside Gunn, who signed him to the red-hot label earlier this year.

Ian Kelly

Hailing from Oakland, Ca, Ian Kelly's, formerly known as K.E.L.L.S. , smooth and fluid sound fits right in with his soulful intentions of Jamla Records, with whom he's been officially signed too since 2018 as a result of the success of his hardworking efforts in previous and future promising releases.

Kelly's time at Jamla has placed in the midst of some of the titans of hip hop talent; he has earned his unique place as the ill vocalist of Jamla among acts like 9th Wonder himself, and tight production unit The Soul Council.

As greatness breeds greatness, Ian Kelly is set to solidify star status with the release of his long-awaited CHAMPIAN. CHAMPIAN will be the most recent of Kelly's work which already include Good Shit Vol. 1 and Vol. 2.

Ian Kelly's voice can most recently be heard in the compilation album, Jamla is the Squad II, in which he appears on two songs: "Welcome to JamRoc" and "Do Something". With Jamla behind him and the soul and hip hop edge of his upcoming CHAMPIAN, Ian Kelly is proving his worth among some of the greats in the field.

Nimsins

This young father, scholar, community activist, emcee, and visual artist has touched the lives of youth and Hip-Hop communities across the globe. As a young teen, Nimsins picked up the microphone to give a voice to the voiceless living within the bowls of the beast we call the Town. Nim has been able to use his lived experience to paint pictures of life that are unapologetically vibrant with self-reflection and transformative insight on where the culture is headed. Nimsins is an emcee who embodies the essence of the craft where we speak truth to power and shine light on the change we wish to see in this world, while embracing the responsibility of being a change agent ourselves.
