Ye Vagabonds

Ye Vagabonds are brothers Brian and Diarmuid Mac Gloinn. Alongside Lankum, Lisa O'Neill, John Francis Flynn, and Landless, they are at the forefront of a new Irish folk movement which emerged out of Dublin in the late 2010's. Their music is defined by their close harmony singing, a sound influenced by the 60s folk revival as well as contemporary folk and Irish traditional music. They made their debut album Ye Vagabonds in 2017 with Alain McFadden on harmonium, mandolin, and banjo, and Nicholas Cooper on violin / viola. They recorded the album live in the Meadow, in Delgany, Co. Wicklow, engineered by Nick Rayner, and released it on their own label, Inglenook Records.

They signed to Rough Trade Records' folk imprint River Lea in 2019 and released their second and third albums to critical acclaim. The Hare's Lament (2019) is a collection of traditional songs learned from archives, records, friends, and family. The band received several awards following the album whilst their third album Nine Waves (2022) introduced a more contemporary approach, mixing older traditional songs with new original compositions. Now they embark on a new journey, releasing their fourth album All Tied Together in January 2026.

Joshua Burnside

Northern Irish experimental folk songwriter and producer Joshua Burnside is something of a regional anomaly. With a brooding, powerful sound echoing artists of places afar and time long gone, his enthralling craft defies local comparison in striving towards an aesthetic as much as visual as it is sonic. Balanced with a diverse palette of sounds, Burnside deftly blends alt-folk and elements of the Irish folk song tradition with South American rhythms and Eastern European influences, whilst introducing synthetic and found-sounds, synths loops and crunching beats to create a stormy world that shifts and swirls perspective like a lingering lucid dream.
